小型铸造车间在生产球墨铸铁件中有很多困难,这样就必须创造出—种能在任何小型车间中熔制合金,及在现有的设备上以最小的费用来熔制球墨铸铁的工艺.在熔制球墨铸铁的过程中,曾采用含镁12~25%的各种镁合金及纯镁进行试验.结果最好是用含镁20~25%和矽55~60%的合金,这种合金中不含有对铸铁性质不起主要影响及加入后只是无谓消耗而提高铸铁成本的铜和铝等材料.
