In the 1860s, Britain started a “Arts and Crafts Movement.” In the concept of behavior and many other ideas put forward the modern design. Rousekin, the founder of modern design theory, and William Morris, the leader of the “Arts and Crafts Movement,” mentioned in modern design theory that the fundamental of design should have strong democratic characteristics. It should serve the general public without respect Elitism. This article discusses the formation of modern design from the background of the formation of industrial design in Art Ten Lectures, the influence of the United States on modern design and the process of modern design from Peffsner, and discusses the formation of modern design is closely related to the establishment of social responsibility of designers . The focus of modern design has shifted further to the “people” served by the design. In the design, it advocates the exchange and interaction between people and products, people and people, people and environment, and makes the design more human and interactive. The emotion in the process of design is improving day by day.
