Language is the carrier of culture. Translation is one of the most important cultural communicative activities in human beings. The cultural factor in translation is an important factor that influences whether the translation can accurately convey the original information. The translation of the names of tourist attractions often contains a wealth of historical and cultural knowledge, has its own characteristics and functions. Therefore, when translating the names of scenic spots, we must seriously consider the cultural connotation of the original text so as to truly achieve the ultimate goal of spreading national culture and distinctive culture. From a cultural point of view, there are some problems in transliteration of names, such as the loss of information and semantics in transliteration, the lack of rigor in paraphrasing and the neglect of cultural background in literal translation. In response to these problems, we can adopt different translation strategies to solve them in order to achieve the best translation results.
