Western philosophy in the second half of the twentieth century began to discuss the nature of language. Heidegger believed that the essence is expressed in language and the thinking of the origin of language infiltrates into his view of existence. The language turns to appear and begins to guide the philosophical look back and the definition of the essence of the world in the ancient Western and Middle Ages such as Logos. It is noteworthy that in the same twentieth century, the translation theory begins with the concept of cultural translation represented by Basnett. Its theory of cultural turn shows that the study of translatology should pay attention to the study of the textual “culture of the domain”. Translation should take culture as a unit to realize the equivalent transformation of cultural meanings between different languages. This article intends to reflect on the change of culture from the perspective of linguistic ontology, which leads to the lack of source culture in translation practice and the stagnation of source culture dissemination.
