前寒武纪含铁石英岩,是在大约25亿年的长期过程中形成的;在如此长的时期内,产于其中的地层,包括含铁石英岩本身在内均起了变化。但是这一演变,研究的还很肤浅,建造的分类也未制定出来。表示前寒武纪铁矿石的专门名词近16个,但是它们的相互关系却一点也不明确。这类矿石具有在不同大陆和不同时代建造中重复出现的若干共同特征,同时这些特征又不完全一样。关于它们成因问题的争论也已经近一个世纪了。
Precambrian iron-bearing quartz rocks formed during the long-term process of about 2.5 billion years; during these long periods, the strata produced there, including the ferri-quartzite itself, have changed. But this evolution, the research is still superficial, the construction of the classification has not been developed. There are nearly 16 specialized nouns for Precambrian iron ore, but their interrelationships are not clear at all. Such ores have several common characteristics that recur in the construction of different continents and different ages, and these characteristics are not exactly the same. It’s been almost a century since the controversy over their causes.
