外语教学应该重视文化对比 ,因为语言差异往往来自其传承、规约于不同文化的差异 ,或者说是语言世界观的差异。对于中国的英语学习者而言 ,就是广义的西方文化与中国文化结构上的差异 :英语受制于曲折型语言的思维方式 ,汉语受制于综合型词根语的思维方式。这种差异 ,以其对词汇系统的影响而导致产生的语义层面上的空缺、抵牾 ,最是令学习者困惑。本文从跨文化传通的角度入手 ,在语言分割、词汇空缺及修辞意义三个层面上分析、比较了英汉词汇语义结构的不同文化内涵及其投射带来的影响 ,并对相应的教学策略进行了初步讨论
Foreign language teaching should pay attention to cultural contrast, because language differences often come from the differences between their traditions and statutes in different cultures, or the language world outlook. For Chinese EFL learners, it is the difference between the general western culture and the Chinese culture structure: English is subject to the tortuous language mode of thinking, and the Chinese is subject to the synthetic mode of the root language. This kind of difference, because of its influence on the lexical system, produces the vacancy on the semantic level, which often confuses the learners. From the perspective of intercultural communication, this paper analyzes and compares the different cultural connotations of English-Chinese lexical semantic structures and the effects of their projections on the three levels of language segmentation, vocabulary vacancy and rhetorical meaning, and makes corresponding teaching strategies A preliminary discussion
