1994年6月27日—30日,中国科协召开“学科发展与科技进步”学术研讨会。全国165个学会(协会、研究会)参加了会议,1000多名学科代表赴会发言。 会议召开之时,正值“九五”计划和十年规划即将出台,而整个世界都在面临着一场新的科学革命、技术革命和产业革命。因此,这次会议召开的主要目的,在于为国家制定科技进步及学科发展的政策规划提供依据;以及促进不同学科之间的相互渗透和借鉴等。会议的中心议题即总结改革开放15年来取得的成就,研讨面向21世纪的学科发展与科技进步问题。层次高、学科多、综合性强等是这次会议的主要特点。
June 27, 1994 -30 June, China Association for Science and Technology held a “discipline development and scientific and technological progress” Symposium. 165 national societies (associations, research societies) attended the conference and more than 1,000 academic representatives attended the conference. When the meeting was held, just as the Ninth Five-year Plan and the 10-year plan were to come forth soon, the entire world is facing a new scientific revolution, technological revolution and industrial revolution. Therefore, the main purpose of this meeting is to provide the basis for the formulation of national scientific and technological progress and the policy planning of disciplinary development; and to promote the mutual penetration and reference among different disciplines. The central theme of the conference is to summarize the achievements made in the past 15 years of reform and opening up and to discuss the discipline development and progress in science and technology that are facing the 21st century. High-level, multi-disciplinary, comprehensive and strong is the main features of this meeting.
