1. Dou Dou, a little vole, takes a big horn home and makes it clean and beautiful. 小田鼠豆豆捡到一只大喇叭，搬回家修补得又干净又漂亮。
2. He blows it hard. “Wow!” The loud noise nearly lifts the roof. 用力一吹，“哇！”差点掀掉了屋顶。
3. He practices the sweet music with a cork in the horn. 他用塞子塞住，练习着吹乐曲，十分动听。
4. At the evening party. He plays a solo. Suddenly the cork runs away. A lot of people faint by the loud noise. 晚会上，豆豆吹独奏曲。突然塞子飞了。不少人都被震昏了。
5. King Vole is angry and orders Dou Dou to throw the horn away. 鼠王大怒，命令豆豆立即扔掉大喇叭。
6. Dou Dou hides it in a cave. 豆豆把它藏进山洞。
7. A lot of clouds are in the sky, but it doesn’t rain. The Kingdom of Vole has no water to drink. 天旱了，满天乌云，就是不下雨。鼠王国都没水喝了。
8. Dou Dou takes the horn out secretly and blows hard. Oh, it begins to rain. 豆豆偷偷取出大喇叭，用力一吹。天下起了大雨。
9. King Vole is very happy and lets Dou Dou take the horn home. 鼠王高兴了，同意豆豆把大喇叭运回了家。
10. There is a good harvest of dates, but it is difficult to get them in. Dou Dou blows the horn and the dates fall to the ground. 枣子大丰收了，可收枣子很困难。豆豆把大喇叭一吹。枣子都落到地上了。
11. One day, an old black cat attacks the voles. King Vole and his soldiers are very scared. Dou Dou puts the horn in front of the gate. 一天，黑老猫领兵来袭击鼠王国。鼠王和士兵们吓坏了。豆豆把大喇叭安放在城门前。
12. The old black cat comes. The loud noise nearly makes the cat faint. The voles win the war. King Vole praises the horn,“It is a very lovely horn.” 黑老猫领兵冲来了，猫差点儿被大喇叭震得昏过去。战斗胜利了，鼠王高兴地说：“这真是一只可爱的大喇叭。”
