1999年下半年,北京、上海两地不约而同地冒出了一批戏剧工作室。较之此前两地的戏剧工作室及其他行当的工作室,本次所成立的戏剧工作室有一个最显著特点,即都不约而同又旗帜鲜明地以演员个人名义命名,个人工作室的特征尽显无遗,同时也在京沪两地戏剧界掀起了一个个人工作室热潮。 个人戏剧工作室及其纷纷推出的一系列剧目构成了世纪之交剧坛一道独特的风景。戏剧工作室引起了广泛的关注。为此,我们对部分个人戏剧工作室进行了采访。
