[Objective] To investigate the clinical effects and promotion advantages of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEC) in patients with craniocerebral injury and dysphagia. [Methods] From January 2013 to January 2014, 70 patients with craniocerebral injury and dysphagia who were willing to seek medical service in our hospital were selected. The patients’ randomized data table was divided into 2 groups, and were given percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy PEC (experimental group) and nasogastric tube (NCT) (control group). The clinical effects of two groups were compared. [Results] The nutritional indexes of patients in PEC group were significantly better than those in control group, and postoperative complications were significantly better than those in control group (P <0.05). [Conclusion] PEC is used for early head injury in patients with craniocerebral injury and dysphagia, which can promote early nutritional intake of patients. The incidence of postoperative complications is low and the safety is better. PEC has a positive promotion advantage.
