人体必需的微量元素,世界卫生组织早有规定。近30多年来国际上出现了不少微量元素制剂作为食物补充剂,孕妇及小儿营养剂,预防衰老剂,治疗营养缺乏及贫血等。微量元素是指人体必需的痕迹元素(trace elements),既不能多,又不能少,多则引起毒害,少则引起疾病。医学界早已认识到铁对人体血液的重要性,人类由于外伤及内出血等原因常造成缺铁性贫血,因为没有铁,血红蛋白就不能制造,氧就不能输送,可以说贫血就意味着失铁,失铁就意味贫血,其关系非常密切。而铜这一元素则参与造血过程,主要影响铁的吸收转运和利用,它可以促使无机铁变成有机铁,使三价铁变为二价铁,后者才能被人体吸收;此外铜还参予细胞血素C,酪氨酸酶,抗坏血酸氧化酶及尿酸酶的合成。国外对生长旺盛的婴儿每日所需铜量作了规定和建议,苏联著名医学家洛曼索夫多年研究发现铜可治疗糖尿病。据报道有80多种酶的活性与锌元素有关,科学研究证实,人体含锌酶有50多种,性腺、胰腺、
