本文通过质的研究方法,对两位成人夜校英语专业学生进行了访谈,旨在探讨妨碍成人学生学习英语的社会因素。研究结果表明,工作对其学习有一定的妨碍,但她们已经习惯并能处理好工作与学习的关系,在此基础上,工作还为其学习创造了一定的条件,有一定的促进作用;而公共交通、住宿环境对她们的学习造成很大困扰和不便;教师的课堂教学很大程度上影响学生的学习效果;而现行的期末考试对她们的学习无负面影响。最后本文针对教师的课堂教学提出了三点建议。
This article interviews English majors of two adult evening schools through qualitative research methods to explore the social factors that hinder adult students from learning English. The research results show that work has some obstacles to their learning, but they have become accustomed to and can handle the relationship between work and study. On this basis, the work also creates certain conditions for their learning and has a certain role in promoting; Public transportation and accommodation environment have caused great difficulties and inconvenience to their learning; teacher’s classroom teaching has a great influence on students’ learning results; and the current final exams have no negative impact on their learning. Finally, this paper proposes three suggestions for teachers’ classroom teaching.
