By the State Key Joint Laboratory of Integrated Optoelectronics (Tsinghua University, Jilin University, Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Semiconductors), the National Natural Science Foundation of Information Science, National High-tech Project Optoelectronics Subject Experts Group and the Chinese Institute of Electronics Semiconductor Integrated Technology Branch Information Optoelectronics Group The third China optoelectronics academic seminar co-hosted by the two sides of the Taiwan Straits and Hong Kong was held in Changchun, Jilin Province from August 13 to August 18, 1996. This was initiated in 1993 by Academician Wang Qiming of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on behalf of the State Key Joint Laboratory of Integrated Optoelectronics and was positively supported by Professor Su Yankun of Tainan University of Success and Professor Chen Jintai of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
