曾有报告用感染了食蟹猴疟原虫红前期的猴肝捣碎后腹腔接种于健康猴获得成功。作者用伯氏鼠疟原虫抱子体注射感染的大鼠,于注射抱子体后2.5~7小时,21~28小时,及36~41小时取出肝脏,捣碎后腹腔转种给健康大鼠、小鼠和仓鼠均获得成功。与此同时,平行地进行了血液转种,结果均为阴性,从而排除了感染是由血液中孢子体或红内期原虫所引起。并论证了感染确是由肝脏
