Proverbs are encyclopedias of life, a summary of life experience and wisdom of life. Uygur proverbs are rooted in the fertile soil of the Uygur people and bear the cultural content of their own nation. This article analyzes the Uighur proverb to reveal the unique food culture reflected in this gem.
