防冻液取代水作为发动机冷却系统的冷却介质,它可防止发动机缸体盖和散热器等主要部件的锈蚀,并具有冰点低,在严冬可以防冻,提高冷却系统的沸点温度,四季适用。使用防冻液,减少了日常向散热器加水和维护保养,加入一次,可以行驶2×10~4km(或使用1年),有的长效防冻液,加入一次,可以行驶4×10~4km(或使用2年),减轻司机劳动强度,有利于汽车的起动,延长发动机使用寿命,提高经济效益,在军用车辆和干旱缺水地区使用防冻液尤为重要。
