Who lives in a pineapple under the sea？ You probably know the answer to that question： SpongeBob SquarePants！ So what would happen if SpongeBob came up for air？ Could the sponge continue to live out of water？ Find out on July 6， when SpongeBob and his crew will leave the sea and the lively world to appear in a 3D live-action film called The SpongeBob Movie： Sponge Out of Water.
The film is the sequel to The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie in 2004. Sponge Out of Water， however， is a new story with a new look.
Along with his pals Patrick， Mr. Krabs， Squidward， and Sandy， SpongeBob has gotten into all sorts of trouble and actions in his hometown， Bikini Bottom. This time， an ill pirate known as Burger-Beard， played by Antonio Banderas， has gotten his hands on the top-secret Krabby Patty recipe. “Believe it or not， Burger-Beard is more bad than Plankton，” Tom Kenny， the voice of SpongeBob， told TFK（Times For Kids）.
The robbery sends Bikini Bottom into total disorder. To defend their home from danger， SpongeBob and the crew must go above the surface of the sea to get back the secret formula. In order to fight Burger-Beard and his ill pirate members， SpongeBob and his friends change themselves into superheroes.
Though the gang may look different as live-action figures in the human world， they are the same characters SpongeBob fans know and love. “It’s a different way of presenting the story， but everyone is exactly the same，” says Kenny. “That’s why I love SpongeBob. The humor comes not from what the characters do but who they are.”
