The direct application of tropical rainforest food has been established through the 12-month-long collection of data from Indians of Huottuja (Piaroa), Venezuela. Take months to take turns surveying the impact of development on acquisition in a large and small village. The market price is calculated using the local market price and the weight of the flora and fauna collected by the household. The net monetary value of forest food is obtained by deducting the calculated labor opportunity cost from the market value. The net value of these wildlife is $ 1,902 per household per annum to large villages and $ 4,696 per household to hamlets. The data reported here confirm the great dependence of Huottuja’s livelihoods on forests, which receive more food from forests than they would have earned on wages devoted to the same period of time.
