在日出斗金的洪泽湖畔、风光秀丽的淮河之滨、闻名遐迩的明祖陵旁坐落着一所美丽的农村初级中学--江苏省教育现代化示范初中明祖陵中学。长期以来,明祖陵中学始终坚持“重质量、求发展、创特色、上品位”的办学理念,走以德治校、依法治校之路,团结拼搏,求实创新,在短短的几年内,校容校貌,校风教风发生了质的飞跃,办学水平、办学条件也得到了跨越式的发展。目前,学校占地面积38700平方米,建筑面积8016平方米,拥有27个教学班,1300余名学生。
