词汇教学是英语教学过程中的一个重要环节,词汇的贫乏不仅会影响学生听、说、读、写各个方面,还会妨碍学生英语整体水平的提高。在教学过程中很多教师都做过各种尝试来扩大学生的词汇量,提高词汇学习效率,但在教学中对词汇教学讨论的并不多。在日常的教学中大部分教师对词汇的教学仍基于语法为中心的教学理论,依据课后词汇表进行教学:教师带读—词汇讲解—听写单词。其中教师也会教授一些词汇学习技巧,如:拼写规则、构词法等。学生也把词汇表作为英语学习的法宝,但这些都还只停留在单词本身,取得的效果并不好。其实,就词汇学习而言,教师的教法对学生的学法起着导向作用。本人通过多年的教学实践,摸索出以下词汇教学方法,并取得了一定的成效。
Vocabulary teaching is an important part in the process of English teaching. The lack of vocabulary not only affects students ’listening, speaking, reading and writing, but also hinders the improvement of students’ overall English. In the process of teaching many teachers have done various attempts to expand the vocabulary of students to improve the efficiency of vocabulary learning, but in the teaching of vocabulary teaching is not much discussion. In daily teaching most of the teachers’ teaching of vocabulary is still based on the grammar-centered teaching theory, which is based on the lexicon after class: teacher reading - vocabulary explanation - dictation of words. Teachers will also teach some vocabulary learning skills, such as: spelling rules, word formation and so on. Students also use the vocabulary as a magic weapon for learning English, but these still only stay in the word itself, and the result is not good. In fact, as far as vocabulary learning is concerned, the teaching of teachers plays a guiding role in students’ learning methods. Through years of teaching practice, I worked out the following vocabulary teaching methods and achieved some results.
