The Eskimo’s name is Okuruk, or “small boiled meat.” He was a hunter all his life and made a decision when he was 83, unable to live and die in the town where he lives. His stubbornness proved a blessing to the five Inuit families who were recently trapped on the beach at Admiralty Bay on the northern tip of the Baffin Island in Canada’s Arctic.
