在运动员的心电图上,低电压比较常见。研究证明,心电图标准导联中QRS波群向上最高波不超过5mm,是确定为低电压心电图比较准确的方法。 低电压心电图在各项目的运动员中均可见到,但多见于举重、摔跤、体操、射箭、帆船和摩托车运动员。形成的原因主要是训练和比赛时运动负荷过大、训练时间太长,大量材料证明,运动员中67%的低电压心电图是正常变异。多数是与运动训练有关的心外原因造成的。尤其是骨骼肌的过度发达,由心电位改变形成的低电压心电图为数不多。
