If the navigation of the Qin Dynasty opens up the “Silk Road” at sea on the northeast route, then the Han Dynasty and the two Jin dynasties opened the “Silk Road” on the Southwest route at sea. This long route has become a link between China and many countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia, West Asia and East Africa in developing economic and cultural exchanges. Although the “Silk Road” on land occupied a more important position in the history of transportation between China and the West during this period, the “Silk Road” at sea was indeed opened up and all the conditions were prepared for shifting the focus of traffic between China and the West from land to sea . We can call this period a start-up period for China’s oceans.
