如果在淮海路上随机地访问十位年轻人:知道新加坡吗?对新加坡有什么印象?我可以断定,十个人都会知道,新加坡是个美丽的花园国家,四季如春,亚洲四小龙之一……相反,如果在乌节路(Orchard Road,新加坡最热闹的一条马路)问十个青年人:知道上海吗?对上海、对中国的印象怎样?我不敢想象将会得到什么样的答案!可能答案是:不懂!至少有不下十个人曾问过我,中国有汽车吗?有高楼吗?上海也有像Takashimaya(新加坡著名的日资百货公司)这样大的商厦吗?……听到这些问题,你说我该如何回答?!可笑吗?
