When science is attacked from many sides, we must understand that science itself is correct, and that human beings who study science are prone to make mistakes. We know that the great success achieved in the fields of art, law and religion can be enduring and passed from generation to generation. However, no field offers us the opportunity to learn more about nature as science does. In order to persuade the public to support the efforts of scientists to explore and to obtain more rational and effective explanations about ourselves and the world around us, we must clearly distinguish the original uniqueness of science and the characteristics of human beings as researchers.
