采用从厚壁圆筒形Ni-Cr-Mo钢锻件上切取的“C”形试样进行了断裂韧性试验。所测定的临界K_1值在整个试样尺寸范围内实质上是恒定的,并与材料已知的K_(1c)值很好地符合。在断裂韧性试验过程中,采用超声脉冲反射法进行了裂缝长度的连续测量。根据这些超声波测量值和从柔度分析计算得出的裂缝扩展量,以及以前关于“C”形试样的工作,推荐了用于“C”形试样的K_(1c)试验程序。
Fracture toughness tests were carried out on “C” specimens cut from thick cylindrical Ni-Cr-Mo forgings. The measured critical K 1 values are substantially constant throughout the sample size and correspond well to the known K 1c values for the material. In the fracture toughness test, ultrasonic pulse reflection method was used to measure the fracture length continuously. Based on these ultrasonic measurements and the amount of crack propagation calculated from compliance analysis, as well as previous work on “C” shaped specimens, the K 1c test procedure for “C” shaped specimens was recommended.
