解放初期,上海文化管理部门接管了国民党官办和官僚资本占主要部分的电影制片机构,成立了国营上海电影制片厂。对私营制片机构,则允许并支持其继续拍片,以缓解电影市场求大于供的矛盾。然而,私营制片机构经济上大都入不敷出,拍摄的许多影片在思想倾向上也得不到新政权的认可。这两个原因导致了私营制片机构的迅速国有化。
In the early days of liberation, the Shanghai Cultural Management Department took over the film studios, which dominate the officialdom and bureaucratic capital of the KMT, and established the state-run Shanghai Film Studio. For private film agencies, they are allowed and supported to continue filming in order to ease the contradiction between demand and supply in the movie market. However, most private film agencies are mostly financially vulnerable and many of the films they film are not recognized by the new regime in their ideological tendencies. These two reasons led to the rapid nationalization of private film agencies.
