On the basis of comparative experiments of self-stressing lightweight steel tube lightweight aggregate concrete and steel tubular lightweight aggregate concrete axial compression short columns, the superior properties of self-stressing steel tube lightweight aggregate concrete in terms of elastic modulus and ultimate bearing capacity were studied. Self-stress development law defines the effective self-stress value and gives the formula
