Owen graduated from Duke University in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and entered Colorado Law School in Denver. Mr. Owen is an entrepreneur and pioneer in the video game industry. His involvement with the industry stems from his hobby of the video games that emerged at a young age, and this hobby eventually evolved into today’s professional passion. In the early 1990s, Owen co-founded the Owen, Diaz and Altschul investment banks in New York City and actively advised equity investors and investment banks to invest in the industry. Under Mr. Owen, his company has raised more than $ 250 million for high-tech businesses and the video game industry. Mr. Owen also raised $ 20 million for Spectrum Holobyte, then a leading PC game developer, and raised $ 25 million for 3DO, a video game system developed by the world’s game giant Gartner, the creator of EA, Trip Hawkins. He also participated in the writing of GameDealer.com’s business plan, which is today’s UGO.com, one of the top ten entertainment sites in the United States. In May 2005, Mr. Owen was selected by Stuff Magazine as one of the top ten most influential people in the video game industry.
