1978年,我在植物杂志第二期上发表《牡丹》一文以后,接到全国各地许多牡丹爱好者的来信,提出了关于牡丹的一些问题,试答如下: 牡丹的原产地过去大多依据宋代欧阳修的说法:“丹、延以西及褒斜道中尤多,与荆棘无异,土人皆取以为薪。”因而定为横贯甘肃、陕西、河南三省的秦岭。其实,不单是秦岭有牡丹,如牡丹的原种矮牡丹(Paeonia suffruticosa var. spontanea)原产延安;另一变种紫斑牡丹(P. suffruticosa var. papaveracea)原产于川北、甘南、陕南等地。此外,笔者1979年春天访问昆明西山森林公园时,老花工李师傅指着一
In 1978, after I published “Peony” in the second issue of Plant Magazine, I received letters from many peony lovers across the country and put forward some questions about peony.
