“借景”是中国园林的核心理法之一。在现代景观设计实践中,借景通常仅仅被理解为针对视觉景观的处理手段。但细读《园冶》发现,“因”、“借”包含的意义和涵盖的范畴不仅是某种设计手法,更是造园中通观全局的设计观念。本文从几个关键词的语义出发,通过解读“因”、“借”、“触情”的词源含义,对比考察隐含在《园冶》、《闲情偶寄》、《随园记》等古典文献中的“因”、“借”思想,发掘《园冶·借景》篇中的“因借——触情”的结构图式,探寻“因借”中折射出来的文人造园思想。
