Although the semantic color is not the only reason that determines the use of passive sentences, we try to use semantic color as the starting point to compare Chinese and Japanese, and provide some convenience for students to learn passive sentences. This article extracts 30 passive sentences in Japanese and translates them into Chinese. Then the semantic color is classified. Afterwards, a survey was conducted on Japanese students in the second grade of Chinese majors. The survey found that classification according to the semantic color is easy for students to master the passive sentence usage. Of course, some of the inaccuracies in the semantic color classification were also found in the survey, which were further supplemented.
