In his early career, his painting is dark in colour, which was affected by Corot. Pissarro maintains the unify of lighting and colours, he used the colours in dark to compare with purified colour in lights and use slightly cold medium colour to balance the work. In his middle career, his work evolved into a brand-new vivid world. He started to modify the colour phase in his painting, and considered the solid feeling of objects, which was affected by the study of paintings by Turner. Another aspect of effect was from Courbet with his structural paintings, which was reflected in his painting Water Lily. In his late career, his paintings were affected by point rehearsal, which to stress that a painting should have a single main colour. He used his typical Knit techniques to unify the paintings into tiny standard painting elements, and express the objects through his brightly drawing technique. The unifying elements were drawn bits by bits into the painting, making the whole painting into an organised main colour.

Such was can provide an easier understanding of Pissarro’s characteristics, including humble, persistent, deep, bright, as well as his bright attitude to his poor life.
