价值是一种核心和基本的信念,这种信念可以塑造我们的目标和动机。文化价值是举止行为的一组评判的法则。为了研究文化价值观,许多学者更进一步把文化价值观具体到文化价值取向的层次。价值取向是为一个社会用来解决普世性问题的方法。研究文化价值取向的模式很多,主要介绍四个影响力较大,受到较多跨文化交际学者引用的模式:Kluckhohn & Strodtbeck模式、Condon & Youself模式、Hall模式和Hofstede模式。对国外四种主要文化价值取向模式的述评,会对跨文化交际中的文化价值研究提供些许帮助。
Value is a core and fundamental belief that shapes our goals and motivations. Cultural values are a set of judgments of behavior. In order to study cultural values, many scholars have further extended their cultural values to the level of cultural values. Value orientation is a way for a society to solve universal problems. There are many modes to study the value orientation of culture, and mainly introduce four influential models which are cited by many intercultural communicators: Kluckhohn & Strodtbeck, Condon & Youself, Hall and Hofstede. A review of four main modes of cultural value orientation abroad will provide some help in the study of cultural values in intercultural communication.
