In the second half of the 20th century, the most prominent issue facing mankind was the global ecological crisis and environmental problems. To shake off the predicament of human existence and move towards an ecologically sustainable civilized society is a serious challenge to China’s modernization practice. This paper tries to compare Confucius and Ted Benton’s ecological outlook, seek common ground while putting aside differences and explore the positive factors. In their interpretation of nature, both emphasize the objective reality of nature, attach importance to the intrinsic value of nature and follow the laws of nature. In the relationship between man and nature, the relationship between man and nature and the inseparability are emphasized. Two Interact with each other and influence each other. In the utilization of natural resources, we emphasize that we should rationally control and utilize nature limitedly and recognize the limits of nature. These ideas provide a useful reference for the construction of ecological civilization in our country.
