It is a strategic decision made by the 17th National Congress of the CPC to carry out in-depth study and practice of the scientific concept of development in the entire party. It is a major measure for arming the entire party with the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is an important measure for furthering the reform and opening up and promoting sound economic and social development. The rapid development and the urgent need to maintain social harmony and stability are necessary requirements for improving the party’s ability to govern and maintaining and developing the advanced nature of the party.
