自然伽马能谱(NGS)测井仪用来确定被钻井穿过的地层自然放射性起源,这是通过计算地层三种自然伽马射线放射性元素的百分数来确定,这三种元素是;钾(K~(40))、钍(Th~(232))和铀(U~(238))。采用自然放射出的伽马射线能谱分析方法实现钾、钍、铀元素的测量。
Natural gamma ray (NGS) logging tools are used to determine the natural radiogenic origin of the strata that is drilled through, as determined by the percentage of radioactive elements in the three natural gamma ray formations that are available; potassium K ~ 40, Th ~ 232 and U ~ 238. Using natural radiation of gamma ray spectrometry to achieve potassium, thorium, uranium measurement.
