中国历史文献学专业外语是用来巩固和提高基础外语能力,帮助熟练获取中国历史文献学研究领域中专业外语信息,推动使用外语同世界各国学者交流学术的语言工具。然而,长期以来其发展几乎停滞不前,其中存在一些客观和主观的原因。随着国际交往的增多和文献学学科自身建设的需要,加强中国历史文献学专业外语的研究和教学,具有宣传、弘扬民族传统文化,提高学术研究和对外交流水平,开辟中国历史文献学新领域,储备专业外语人才等重要意义。今后,应该在制定明确的教学目标,确定教学大纲,编写适用的专业外语教程,更为广泛地搜索国外文献学参考文献,规范外文资料著录体例,了解国外汉学家对中国历史文献的研究成果,开展文献学比较研究等方面推动历史文献学专业外语的研究和教学。

However, its development has been almost stagnant for a long time and there are some objective and subjective reasons for it. With the increase of international exchanges and the need of self-construction of the discipline of literature, we should strengthen the research and teaching of foreign languages in the field of Chinese history and literature, propagandize and carry forward the traditional culture of the nation, raise the level of academic research and foreign exchange, and open up new fields of Chinese historical literature , Reserve professional foreign language talents and other important significance. In the future, we should make a clear teaching goal, determine the syllabus, write applicable foreign language courses, search more extensively for foreign literature references, standardize the description of foreign language materials, understand the research results of overseas Chinese sinologists on Chinese historical documents, To carry out a comparative study of philology and other aspects of history to promote foreign language studies and teaching.
