常德位于洞庭湖滨,素有“鱼米之乡”的美称。近几年来,这里的淡水养鱼业发展较快,对淡水混养鱼饵料提出了更高的要求,以高营养、高效益的淡水养鱼颗粒配合饵料代替低营养、低效益的单一鱼饵料已是生产上的急需。 常德市饲料公司从1988年起开始对以草鱼为主,适当搭配鲤、鳊、鲫鱼的池塘混养鱼颗粒饵料的研究并获得成功,1991年获湖南省科委新产品证书,1993年被湖南省消费者委员会评为“消费者信得过农资产品”。该产品巳畅销于广阔的洞庭湖之滨。
