跨国文学的接触区域或边界阻止了具有多重语义的漂浮能指的通过,我们应为这些能指搭建穿越、移植、运送与翻译的桥梁。代表“超越”空隙的桥梁导致诸多复杂元素的产生,如:种族差异、种族身份、过去与现在的暂时性、内外空间性以及包含与排他的语言属性。本文认为跨国主义可被视为一种“超越”单一国家界限的结构性桥梁。国际移民在跨越他者空间的过程中获得了双重文化的越境体验。韩裔美国作家特丽萨·车学庆、李昌来和英国-加拿大-加勒比作家路易丝·班纳特的作品超越了国别文学的界限,在文化边界地带往来于未来与现实之间。他们所构想的跨国语境时而揭示时而掩饰边界的复杂特性,以文化翻译的方式诠释了无家可归的疏离感。
Transnational literary areas of contact or borders prevent the passage of floating meanings with multiple semantic meanings, and we should build bridges between these translates as crossing, transplanting, transporting and translating. The bridges that represent the “transcendence” gap lead to the generation of many complex elements such as racial differences, ethnic identities, past and present transients, internal and external spatialities, and inclusive and exclusive language attributes. This paper argues that transnationalism can be regarded as a structural bridge that transcends the single national boundaries of “transcendence.” International migrants have acquired a dual cultural experience of cross-border transatlantic empire. Korean American writer Theresa Cheh, Lee Chang-lai and the British-Canadian-Caribbean writer Louise Bennet’s work transcend the limits of national literature, moving between the future and the present at the cultural frontier. The transnational contexts conceived by them sometimes reveal the complicated features that occasionally cover up the boundaries and interpret the sense of homelessness as a cultural translation.
