“合肥四姐妹”中的小妹、美国耶鲁大学教授张充和于2015年6月17日在美国逝世,享年102岁。张充和1914年生于上海,祖籍合肥。她是解放前著名的“张家四姐妹”之一,系苏州教育家张武龄的四女。张充和在1949年随夫君、美国汉学家傅汉思赴美,50多年来在哈佛、耶鲁等20多所大学执教,传授书法和昆曲,为弘扬中华传统文化耕耘一生。她被誉为解放前“最后一位才女”。本文节选自金安平所著的《合肥四姐妹》一书(生活·读书·新知三联书店,2007年12月版),介绍了年轻时代的张充和。
“Hefei four sisters ” in the young girl, the United States Yale University professor Zhang Chonghe died in the United States on June 17, 2015, at the age of 102. Zhang Chonghe was born in 1914 in Shanghai, native of Hefei. She is one of the famous “Zhang four sisters” before liberation, the fourth daughter of Zhang Wuling, a Suzhou educator. In 1949, with her husband, Fu Hanse, a US sinologist, Zhang Chonghe taught in the United States for more than 50 years and taught at more than 20 universities such as Harvard and Yale to teach calligraphy and Kunqu opera for the purpose of carrying forward the traditional Chinese culture. She was known as “the last talent before liberation”. This article excerpts from the “four sisters of Hefei,” a book by Jin Anping (Life, reading, new joint publication bookshop, December 2007 edition), introduces Zhang Chonghe in his youth.
