1987年6月23日至27日,美国会计史学家协会主席理查德·范杰米奇教授应中南财经大学邀请来汉讲学,在汉共作了四场学术报告,他的精彩演讲,获得了省、市会计学界人士的一致好评。6月25日上午,由中南财经大学、湖北省会计学会、武汉市会计学会、湖北会计师事务所、武汉会计师事务所、中南财经大学大信会计师事务所和中国人民解放军军事经济学院在武汉剧院联合举办了一场大型学术报告会,由范杰米奇教授作了题为《会计在现代美国经济中的地位与作用》的学术报告,省、市会计学界1400余人参加了这次大会。这次学术报告会由省会计学会第一副会长何福林厅长主持,由我国著名会计学家、博士生导师杨时展教授代表省、市会计学界致欢迎词,最后并作了总结性讲话,高度评价了范杰米奇教授的讲学效果,赞扬了这次学术报告会开得成功。杨时展教授指出:
From June 23 to June 27, 1987, Professor Richard Van Jemicom, chairman of the American Association of Accounting Historians, gave a lecture to Han at the invitation of Zhongnan University of Finance and Economics. He made four academic reports in the Chinese Communists. His excellent speech won Provincial and municipal accounting professionals alike. June 25 morning, by the Central South University of Finance and Economics, Hubei Province Accounting Society, Wuhan City Accounting Society, Hubei accounting firm, Wuhan accounting firm, Zhongnan University Daxin accounting firm and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army military and economic cooperation in Wuhan Theater A large academic seminar was held. Prof. Fan Jiemici delivered a lecture entitled “The Role and Function of Accounting in the Modern American Economy.” More than 1,400 people from provincial and municipal accounting circles attended the conference. This academic report was presided over by HE Fulin, the first vice chairman of the provincial accounting society. Professor Yang Shizhan, a famous accountant and doctoral tutor in China, gave a welcoming speech on behalf of the accounting circles in the provinces and municipalities.
