Pain consists of many dimensions such as feeling, emotion, cognition and so on. Chronic pain is often accompanied by negative emotions such as anxiety and depression. And, negative emotions can aggravate pain. Chronic stress causes a series of changes in biochemistry, physiology and psychology, leading to emotional disorders, increasing the risk of chronic pain or aggravating chronic pain.
