Purpose To observe the effects of milk and vitamin C beverages on the liver. Methods Thirty healthy mice were randomly divided into three groups: group A (normal control group), group B (milk group) and group C (vitamin C group). After 14 days of feeding, the rats were decapitated and histopathological and enzymatic histochemical methods were used to observe the changes of PAS, SDH, ATPase, ChE and ACP. The results for the A group PAS response, SDH was strongly positive (), ChE was moderately positive (). Group B ChE, ATPase positive (). C group SDH, PAS response and ATPase was moderately positive (). ACP in the three groups were weakly positive (±). Conclusions suggest that high glucose, high protein can significantly improve liver functional activity, while the standard food supplemented with vitamin C is beneficial to the liver’s functional activity.
