The suitability of the cast crown is affected by the expansion and contraction of a wide range of materials. Casting deformation often results in a nonuniform, pre-cementing gap. The main method to correct the deformation of castings is the use of substitute gap and crown inner wall etching, chemical or electrochemical milling, while the former has been widely used recently. It has also been proposed to use elastic material as a reference for selective polishing of the crown inner wall to obtain a uniform pre-cementing gap. This gap is related to the placement of the crown, bonding and edge fit.
