А.ПюГуляев和M.Cohen早期研究高速钢的冷处理曾指出,室温停留将导致奥氏体在另下温度时马氏体转变的稳定化。Cohen并指出,冷处理时的冷却速度对另下温度的相变并无影响。证明184高速钢在另下温度时形成恒温马氏体。曾测定P9及184钢在—60℃以下停留时恒温马氐体的形成及冷处理后钢的金相组织。但也有很多作者并未发现在另下温度停留时对转变所发生的效应。对于高速钢在另下温度时相变的其他问题尚缺之较系统的研究。

Cohen also pointed out that the cooling rate during cold treatment has no effect on the phase transition at the other temperatures. It is proved that 184 high speed steel forms isothermal martensite at another temperature.
