在秦皇岛市海港区交建里小学的校园里活跃着一支工艺葫芦社团。该社团成立于2012年,先后培养了近百名“小小葫芦工艺师”。从葫芦的种植、刮皮、打磨等简单酌加工,到绘画、烙画等专业的制作,古老的传统文化深深地吸引着孩子们。精美的葫芦制品深受全校师生酌喜爱,目前传统的葫芦工艺也已走出社团,越来越多的老师和学生在课余时间参与到葫芦手绘、压花、烫刻技术的学习中来,全校上下掀起了制作工艺葫芦的热潮。可以说代表着中华民族吉祥、幸福、和谐的古老的葫芦文化已成为校园文化的一部分。
