Monroe’s short story “Escape” shows the multiple ethical dilemmas that women face in the 21st century: the self-discipline discourse that requires individuals to become strong subjects becomes an unmanable myth; after being deconstructed, the subject loses its solid foundation and encounters the existence of nothingness ; If you accept the meaninglessness and existence of their own meaningless, it is very difficult for individuals to do poetic dwelling; ethics of others may be able to overcome the nothingness, but will allow individuals to lose their freedom.
