鲁迅是中国现代大文豪,司徒乔是一位爱国画家,两人亦师亦友,相识相知,真情交往。司徒乔,1902年出生于广东省开平县赤坎镇塘边村一个贫苦家庭。20世纪20年代初,在亲友资助下,他前往北京求学,就读于燕京大学神学院。由于他酷爱绘画,利用课余时间跑遍了北京城的各个角落,寻找各种创作素材,并渐渐地在美术界初露头角。鲁迅主持编辑的《莽原》杂志,创刊于1925年4月,开始以周刊形式附于《京报》发行。1926年,《莽原》改为半月刊,由未名社独立出版发行。也就是从那一年开始,司徒乔承担起为
