高谷镇兴隆村位于彭水县西北部,毗邻武隆县,与乌江画廊仅一山之隔。全镇耕地面积2532公顷,海拔218-1300米,是典型的高山峡谷地形。境内矿产储备丰富,旅游资源充足,美食种类繁多,产业特色明显。改变现状建设新村高谷镇几乎每个村都是上至山顶,下至谷底,条件十分艰苦。以前的兴隆村基础设施落后,经济基础薄弱。由于地形条件受限,农业基础差,劳动力外出,农民收入低。
